Kalank Box Office Prediction Day 1: Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt multi starrer can earn THIS much

The multi-starrer Kalank is one of the most awaited movies of the year and the movie is all set to release tomorrow i.e. on April 17. It is releasing on Wednesday and can milk the holiday and extended weekend. For the unversed, tomorrow is Mahavir Jayanti and then there will be Friday to Sunday holidays (Good Friday on 19 April). In an interview with Film trade analyst Girish Johar, he shared his prediction on the first-day box office collection.
He said that there are many factors on why the movie will get a good opening collection. Right from being a mega-budgeted film with top actors to produced by Dharma to the music getting a lot of appreciation to movie getting widely promoted, these factors can aid the movie. He said, "Also, there has been a lack of big releases in the past couple of weeks so Kalank can have a good start at the box office.
He added, "It is going to be a wide release and it is a partial holiday of Mahavir Jayanti also tomorrow and everyone is eagerly waiting. So, I peg it around Rs 18-20 crores. If the word of mouth is good it can achieve this number."

Speaking of the movie, the same is a period drama and is directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. It stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.
