Kedarnath Box Office Collection Day 2: Sushant Singh Rajput & Sara Ali Khan's film sees a steady growth
Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's Kedarnath saw an impressive jump of 35% on Day 2, i.e. Saturday. Fans and critics alike have been bowled over by Sara's debut performance.
"Love is a pilgrimage," forms the crux of Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's film based on the Uttarakhand Floods - Kedarnath. The film also marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara, who makes a fire cracking first impression on both the audience as well as the critics. Besides the honest storytelling of a simple love story with a tragic backdrop, it's the lead actors who are getting all the credit for their earnest portrayals.
After a decent opening day collection of Rs 7.25 crore, Day 2 for Kedarnath saw an impressive jump of 35%. That's right! Abhishek Kapoor's romantic drama collected an impressive Rs 9.75 crore on Day 2, i.e. Saturday. If the collections continue to grow on such a steady pace, the first weekend for Kedarnath looks very good. As of now, the total collections of Kedarnath stands at Rs 17 crore (Friday - Rs 7.25 crore, Saturday - Rs 9.75 crore).

In an interview with PTI, when Sara was asked about Uttarakhand banning the release of Kedarnath for hurting Hindu sentiments and promoting Love Jihad, the debutante shared, "The dream was that I could pass on this story to some people. We shot the film in Uttarakhand, we stayed there for 40 days, I have the best memories of my career there. It is very disheartening to not give back to them because they have given me so much. And that is the only real regret."
