Kedarnath Box Office Prediction: Here's how much Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh's film will earn on Day 1
Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput's Kedarnath is all set to release on December 7, 2018. And, here's what the box office predictions look like.
Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Kedarnath is all set to hit the big screen tomorrow, December 7, 2018, and while the trailer, as well as the songs, have been well received by the fans, the excitement about the release remains. So far, it has been garnering good reviews as well. In an exclusive interaction with us, trade expert Girish Johar spoke about how the film will do at the box office and what is expected on the first day. He started off by saying how there's a lot of expectation riding on this one, and stated, "I would like to say yes the expectations are flying good, the film being the debut vehicle of Sara Ali Khan. She is being eagerly awaited towards the film fraternity with this film and the trailer has also maxed the expectations of what the film is about, we all know it is based on the incident of the cloudburst that happened in Kedarnath in 2013 and the love story is set in that chaos."
Talking about many other aspects to the film, and expectations of the viewers, he added, "Sushant too is a terrific actor and for this combination too, everyone is looking forward to the film. The songs I believe, since it is a romantic film, they should have been a little more caught on but normally what happens is if you watch the film, and the songs are good, they also start growing at that time. So I hope the music also adds some value but the key factor of Sushant, as well as Sara, is definitely the leading reason for the people to watch and come to the theatres tomorrow. I feel that the Box office should be somewhere around Rs. 5 to 6 crores on its day 1 and then it depends on how the expectations of the audience vis-a-vis the actual content because you always go inside with certain expectations, whatever it is."
Sweetheart song out soon! #cannotwait
He further stated, "If those expectations are met with then you love the film, if it doesn't meet with the reaction and then you feel it wasn't so much fun after all. We are looking forward and I hope it has a good weekend and a good word of mouth, and that is eventually what matters. Now with social media and reviews coming out so early, even the public gets to know what can be expected, including fake reviews, etc. Eventually, the public knows and if they're satisfied with the storytelling and the feels, if the director is able to get the film connected with the audience emotionally as well as romantically, and they find the content good it will have a good weekend at the Box office for sure."
While this is Sara Ali's debut film, she will be soon seen in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, opposite Ranveer Singh. The film releases on December 28, 2018.
