The Lion King Box Office Collection India Day 12: Disney film heading towards an excellent second week

The lion has roared and how. Disney's latest release The Lion King seems to be heading for a strong second week latest reports suggest. And if it continues to perform well the film will give some serious competition to Hindi films like Judgementall Hai Kya and still in the running Super 30. After recording an impressive opening box office collection, The Lion King put up a great show over its second weekend, recording more than Rs 30 crore by the end of its second Sunday, pushing the movie to record Rs 100 crore in India.
According to Box Office India, The Lion King raked in Rs 3 crore nett on Tuesday, taking the film's total collection to Rs 119 crore nett. If the photorealistic version of the 1994 drama flick continues to do well, it is expected to touch Rs 125 crore in two weeks time.
As per the report, The Lion King is heading for an excellent second week of Rs 44 crore nett which will be fourth best of the year after Kabir Singh (78.18 cr), Avengers - Endgame (76.59 cr) and Uri - The Surgical Strike (62.76 cr). The movie will comfortably make its way past the Rs 150 crore nett mark. The Lion King could bow down to a total India collection of Rs 160 crore nett.
