The Lion King Box Office Collection India Day 4: Disney film holds strongly on first Monday; earns THIS much

Team Lion King arrived in India and be it English or Hindi the audiences have been loving Disney's latest offering at the cinemas. The film released on 19 July and has been playing in theatres since four days. The Disney live-action remake was released in India in four languages.and it has already crossed the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office. The movie opened to mixed reviews. But that hasn't impacted the box office collection in India. According to Box Office India, The Lion King collected a nett box office collection of Rs 54 crore over the opening weekend in India.
On day four, i.e. Monday, The Lion King held up strongly at the box office but witnessed a 30 per cent drop from Friday. The film collected Rs 7.75 crore nett on its first weekday, taking the total collection to Rs 61.75 crore nett in four days. The report adds that if the film continues to rake in similar amount of money through the week it will be heading for a 80 crore nett plus. The film is another big winner for Hollywood in India after Avengers: Endgame.
Monday's box office collection is the third highest ever for Hollywood in India after Endgame and Infinity War. The Monday numbers are in the same range as The Jungle Book which had released in 2016. The Lion King is bound to face competition from Super 30 during the week and Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya come Friday.
