Marjaavaan Box Office Collection Day 3: Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria’s film gets a good jump on the weekend
Marjaavaan starring Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh released last Friday. The tragic action love story was off to a decent start. Here’s how much Marjaavaan raked in on the weekend at the ticket windows.
Fans of tragic love stories that are packed with action got a treat from Bollywood on Friday as Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh starrer Marjaavaan hit the screens. The film deals with a thug named Raghu who falls in love with Zoya, a mute girl, but circumstances cause situations to change between them and Zoya dies. Riteish Deshmukh’s act as a 3-feet villain seems to have impressed the audience and Sidharth’s ‘hero’ act seems to be winning hearts.
The film was released last Friday and was off to a good start on the first day. Slowly and steadily the numbers kept on increasing at the box office and Marjaavaan got a good jump on the weekend. Coming to the box office collection, as per the early estimates of Sunday night, Sidharth and Tara’s tragic, action love story managed to rake in Rs 9.50 to 10 Crore on Sunday, which was a 35% jump from the Saturday numbers. The film’s overall weekend collection is expected to be around Rs 23.50 Crore nett as per box office India.

The film is doing well in mass circuits of UP, Bihar and other areas. Directed by Satyamev Jayate director, Milap Milan Zaveri, Marjaavaan’s trailer reminded everyone of Ek Villain due to Sidharth and Riteish coming together on screen once again. The songs of the film like Thodi Jagah, Haiya Ho, Ek Toh Kum Zindagani and Tum Hi Aana are trending chartbusters and fans are loving the chemistry between the leads of the film. It will be interesting to see how Marjaavaan fares over the weekdays.
