Bollywood movie buffs wait for Friday to witness the release of a new film. Every Friday brings in a new flavour for the film buffs. Speaking of this, last Friday a complete mass entertainer Marjaavaan starring Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh and Rakul Preet Singh, released and was off to a great start. The film is an action packed tragic love story between a guy named Raghu and a mute girl Tara. How their lives get entangled and how Riteish Deshmukh as the vertically challenged villain comes in between is the story.
Coming to the box office collection, Marjaavaan being a mass entertainer was off to a decent start on Friday. Sidharth and Tara’s chemistry and tragic love story managed to hold the audience's attention and also had a good weekend. After Sunday, Marjaavaan had made around Rs 23.50 Crore nett. However, on Monday as per the early estimates, Marjaavaan collected Rs 4-4.25 Crore nett at the box office which brought the four day box office collection upto Rs 28 Crore nett. The film surely did face a drop of 40 % on Monday from Friday. But is still holding strong.
Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, Marjaavaan’s music is one of the highlights of the film. Songs like Ek Toh Kum Zindagani, Tum Hi Aana, Thodi Jagah and Haiya Ho have been trending across all musical platforms. Sidharth, Tara, Riteish and Rakul also left no stone unturned in promoting their film and had visited various tv shows for promotions. The film’s action and tragic love story has managed to win the hearts of the audience and Sidharth’s chemistry with Tara also has got applause from fans.
