Mission Mangal Box Office Collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan starrer crosses 100 crore mark
Mission Mangal starring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sharman Joshi hit the screens last week. Here is the Day 5 box office collection of the film.
The multi-starrer space film Mission Mangal hit the theatres last week and is performing well at the box office. The film features Akshay Kumar, Sharman Joshi, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi and Kirti Kulhari. Fans were eager to watch the film after watching the interesting trailers. Akshay Kumar plays the role of a senior scientist in the film based on Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientists who worked on the space mission named Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM).
According to Box Office India, the film has finally crossed the 100 crore benchmark. Mission Mangal is a huge HIT as it recorded collections of Rs 8.50-8.75 crore nett on Monday. There is a major drop of over 50% from its opening day. Interestingly, the film is now among the top three HITS of the year with Kabir Singh and URI: The Surgical Strike.
The drop is more in the big multiplexes due to the reduction in ticket prices, but the overall number is still very good for a Monday. The total collections of the film are Rs 105 crore nett in five days and the coming week should reach around Rs 125 crore nett. Directed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal is India’s first film to showcase a space mission which was successfully launched. Akshay Kumar has dedicated this film to celebrate the women of India.
