Mission Mangal Occupancy Report Day 1: Akshay, Taapsee, Vidya starrer gets third best opening of the year
Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu and Vidya Balan starrer Mission Mangal which is based on ISRO's Mars Orbiter Mission, has received whopping 50-55% opening, reports Box Office India.

The movie is the second-best opening of the year after Bharat (considering Hindi movies) and third-best after Avengers: Endgame while Kabir Singh and Captain Marvel closely follow. As per BOI, the prices on ticket rates are similar to that of Bharat but the screen count is less with around 3100 screens and 10,500 shows across the country.
When compared to Gold's occupancy report, it is similar to Akshay Kumar starrer. On the other hand, Batla house has received average opening with 20-25% and the same is quite low thanJohn Abraham's movie Satyamev Jaayte which was released on Independence day last year.
Advance booking reports suggest that Mission Mangal can be one of the highest grossers too. The movie is 12th highest when it comes to advance ticket booking. The collections were more than 15 crores. Speaking of top advances of all time, the number one position is taken by Avengers: Endgame and it is followed by Bahubali: The Conclusion, Avengers: Infinity War, Thugs Of Hindostan and Tiger Zinda Hai among others.
Speaking of the movies, Mission Mangal is directed by Jagan Shakti and co-produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, Fox Star Studios, Aruna Bhatia, and Anil Naidu. On the other hand, Batla house starring John Abraham, Mrunal Thakur and Ravi Kishan is directed by Nikkhil Advani.
