Namaste England Box Office Collection Prediction: Here’s how much Arjun & Parineeti starrer will make on Day 1
Vipul Shah’s upcoming film, Namaste England starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra is all set to release this week. We got in touch with Girish Johar (Film & Trade Business Analyst) to know his take on the Day 1 collection of Namaste England
This week, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Namaste England is all set hit the theatres on October 18, 2018. The movie which is directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah is a sequel to the 2007 Namastey London that starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. The lead pair of the movie is Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra who were last seen together in their first movie together, Ishaqzaade back in 2012. Since then, both Arjun and Parineeti have been doing really well with their films. Arjun’s streak of success began with his debut film and post that he made a name for himself in the industry with hits like Ki & Ka, 2 States, Gunday, Tevar and more. Parineeti, on the other hand, did well in movies like Hasee Toh Phasee, Shuddh Desi Romance, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl and more.
This week, their film, Namaste England is releasing a day ahead of Dussehra with Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai ho. Friday is the D-Day for both the movies but this week, both the movies are releasing a day before on Thursday, October 18, 2018. We got in touch with Girish Johar (Film & Trade Business Analyst) to know his take on how much will Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer, Namaste England, will make on day 1. He shared with us, “Since the movie is release on a partial holiday as some parts are celebrating Dussehra early, we can expect a positive effect of that on the movie’s opening. Secondly, Arjun Kapoor has a good hold on box office and has a star power. Mostly the film is banking upon him. Since the earlier movie, Namastey London did fairly well, so there is some level of expectations. We really hope that Vipul Shah has made the story more relevant and contemporary so that the youth are more hooked to the film. Personally, I feel that the music should have been a couple of notches higher as its a romantic drama. You can still hear the songs of the previous movie’s songs on radio, this one also has good songs but none of them have been chartbusters. The trailer was also decently impactful. I feel with Badhaai Ho coming in, its an opposition and so i feel INR 5 to 6 Crores should be Day 1’s collection for the movie. Rest all depends on Arjun Kapoor’s star power followed by how the film is made and then the word of mouth over the extended weekend.”
The two stars of the movie, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra have been touring different cities for the promotions of the film. They were seen performing on Proper Patola with Badshah on stage in Chandigarh and were also seen in the capital posing for the shutterbugs. Now, the movie which is a love story of Param and Jasmeet that ends up taking them to different countries, is all set to entertain the audiences on October 18, 2018.
