Ever since the trailer of the film was released online, fans have been super thrilled to watch the film and to see the unique pairing of Mouni Roy and John Abraham on-screen.
Romeo Akbar Walter is directed by Robbie Grewal, and the film is a tribute to spies who don’t get recognition for their jobs. Talking about John Abraham and the success of his last two films Satyameva Jayate and Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran, fans are eagerly waiting to watch John in the role of a spy and trade pundits believe that RAW will be another success in John’s list of films. Talking about RAW’s box office collection on Day 1, trade analyst Girish Johar informed Pinkvilla, “John is on a high after his last two outings and I expect it to be his hattrick success after Satyameva Jayate and Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran. All of John’s fans know what kind of cinema he does, and he is very selective in his scripts he chooses, he has his particular kind of cinema which the audiences appreciate,” adding, “With RAW too, whatever promotional material we have watched is impressive. The film is based on an Indian spy working in Pakistan and from the looks of it, it looks intriguing as well as a thrilling ride at the box office. I am expecting a good start for the film. I peg its day one box office collection around Rs 6-6.5 crores.”
Plus, Girish said that a lot also depends upon the word of mouth, and the film registers good evening shows, then the film might pick up. RAW also features Sikander Kher and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi in pivotal roles.
