Sanju Box-Office: Ranbir Kapoor starrer inches close to Rs 300 crore mark
Ranbir Kapoor will soon be entering the prestigious Rs 300 crore club soon thanks to his latest outing as Sanjay Dutt in Sanju. The biopic is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and released on June 29, 2018.
Ranbir Kapoor has all the reasons to be flying high as his latest outing, Sanju has been smashing it at the box-office and in the process, the actor is amongst the first of his generation to see such colossal numbers for his or her film.
The first week's collections of Sanju stood at Rs 200.08 crore nett approx. The second Tuesday raked in Rs 7.50 nett approx, according to Box Office India, bringing the total collection to Rs 278.58 crore nett approx (Second Week: Friday - Rs 12.50 crore nett approx, Saturday - Rs. 21.25 crore nett approx, Sunday - Rs 28 crore nett approx, Monday - R. 9.25 nett approx, Tuesday - Rs 7.50 crore nett approx).

Ranbir Kapoor's performance as Sanjay Dutt in Sanju astonished many given the striking resemblance to the controversial actor. The movie has been backed by a stellar cast with Vicky Kaushal as Kamli, Dutt's best friend and Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt, being appreciated for their honest and heartfelt performances. Sanju, which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani also stars Manisha Koirala as Nargis Dutt, Anushka Sharma as the biographer, Sonam Kapoor as Ruby, Dutt's girlfriend, Jim Sarbh as Dutt's drug peddler, Boman Irani as Ruby's father and Karishma Tanna as Kamli's love interest.
A success party was held for Sanju which was attended by the cast and crew of the film. Ranbir was seen video calling with Vicky during the bash as the actor was shooting for Uri in Serbia.
