Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh has managed to beat the likes of Aamir Khan's Dangal and Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh has been fairing extremely well at the box office and now, the movie has achieved yet another feat. Here is how.
Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani has received rave reviews and while the movie did stir quite the controversy given the content and some statements from director Sandeep Vanga, it has had a phenomenal run at the box office and even with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30, it has had a strong 4th weekend. The movie has managed to mint Rs. 10.34 crore in its 4th weekend and has successfully crossed the Rs. 250 crore mark.
Now, the movie also happens to have achieved another feat with this. If we talk about a film like Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju and Aamir Khan's Dangal, they have been the biggest box office success if collections are concerned but, with the numbers of the 4th weekend, the Shahid Kapoor starrer has surpassed the likes of these films as it stands 3rd while Uri: The Surgical Strike and Baahubali 2 made Rs. 18.94 cr and Rs. 18.30 cr respectively.
In a recent post where Shahid thanked everyone for all the love, the actor wrote, "Your love is so overwhelming words will always fall short. Thank you for understanding him forgiving him and loving him with all your heart. We all fall apart. And we all must strive to rise from our faults. To be better. To be wiser. To be kinder. He is flawed. So are we all. You didn’t judge him you experienced him. You understood him. I have never ever felt so thankful. The most flawed character I have ever played. Has become my most loved. Indeed indian cinema and the audience has come a long way."
