Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar's The Sky Is Pink continues to struggle at the box office and witnesses an average collection during its opening weekend.
Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar’s recent release The Sky Is Pink opened to positive reviews from the audience and has been hailed by the critics. However, despite receiving a thumbs up, the movie is struggling at the box office. After witnessing a slow start at the box office, The Sky Is Pink saw a decent hike on its second day of release. But it failed to pick up on the third day and didn’t see any jump in its collection.
According to a report published in Box Office India, The Sky Is Pink made a collection of Rs 4 crores nett on the third day. Notably, this was the same as its collection on Saturday. With this steady earning, the collections of this Shonali Bose directorial have reached a total of Rs 10.50 crores so far. Needless to say, the opening weekend collections of The Sky Is Pink did turn out to be a disappointment given the extensive promotions and the rave reviews.
Notably, the movie has also been facing a tough competition from Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War. The biggest action entertainer of the year has taken the box office with a storm and refuses to slow down anytime soon. In fact, War has also emerged as the second-highest grosser of the year after Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh.
For the uninitiated, The Sky Is Pink based on the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who died of pulmonary fibrosis. Apart from Priyanka and Farhan, The Sky Is Pink also stars Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in the lead roles.
