Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink was one of the most anticipated movies of the year for many reasons. The movie marked Priyanka Chopra's return to Bollywood after a gap of three years and was also her second collaboration with Farhan Akhtar after Dil Dhadakne Do. Besides, it was also Priyanka’s maiden Hindi production. To note, The Sky Is Pink was also Zaira Wasim’s last Bollywood release as the actress had announced her exit from Bollywood. However, despite several driving reasons, this Shonali Bose directorial has failed to leave an impact at the box office.

The movie, which opened to positive reviews from the critics and audience, has been struggling to bring to be a crowd-puller. After witnessing a slow start on its first day, The Sky Is Pink saw a hike on its second day of release. However, it failed to create a buzz in its opening weekend and raked in a collection of Rs. 10.50 crores. And now adding to its woes, this Priyanka and Farhan starrer has witnessed a massive dip in its collection on the fourth day.

According to Box Office India, the collections of The Sky Is Pink dropped by 45-50% as compared to its collection on the first day. The movie has minted around Rs. 1.25- 1.35 crore nett on its first Monday taking its total collection to approximately Rs. 11.80 crore.

To note, The Sky Is Pink has witnessed a tough competition from Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War at the box office. The Siddharth Anand directorial, which released on October 2, has emerged as the second-highest grosser of the year. And while it continues to go strong with every day, War has affected the collection of The Sky Is Pink on a large scale.
