SOTY 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday & Tara Sutaria’s film is off to a decent start
Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria’s Student of the Year 2 released this Friday. On Day 1, Tiger, Ananya and Tara’s class of 2019 earned a decent amount at the box office. Here’s how much SOTY 2 collected on Day 1.
A much talked about film in recent times was Student of the Year 2 which stars Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in the lead. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film which launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in the film industry. With Student of the Year 2 which released yesterday, Karan Johar launched Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. The film has got a good response from the audiences and Tiger Shroff’s dancing, Ananya’s spunk and Tara’s looks have been appreciated.
Coming to the box office collection, Student of the Year 2 had been a much hyped film and had generated a lot of buzz among the youth. Also, Tiger, Ananya and Tara had been promoting the film from past one month. They had been visiting college campuses and even arranged a special fan screening. Thus, all the promotions and work for the film seemed to be working. Yesterday, SOTY 2 released and is off to a decent start.
Student of the Year 2’s box office collection of day 1 is around Rs 11-12 crores nett which means that it is a decent start for a film with two newcomers. The film opened to good numbers on day 1 in metro cities and as the weekend progressed and if the good word prevails, the film’s collection is likely to increase. Helmed by Punit D Malhotra, Student of the Year 2 also has a special appearance by Hollywood star Will Smith. Also, Alia Bhatt who was in the first part has done a special song with Tiger Shroff, The Hook Up Song. Now, if the reviews are good of the film, it will surely earn more as days move on.
