Spider Man: Far From Home Box Office Collection Day 9: Tom Holland starrer braves World Cup, Wimbledon final
Spider-Man: Far From Home has put up an impressive show at the box office over its second weekend in India. Check out the box office report of the Tom Holland starrer below.
Spider-Man: Far From Home had a good second-weekend collection in India. The Marvel Cinematic Universe movie hit the theatres two months after Avengers: Endgame released. The movie sees Tom Holland reprise his role as Spider-Man aka Peter Parker in the Spider-Man movie. Apart from Holland, Zendaya and Samuel L Jackson reprise their MCU movie. The new Spider-Man movie also saw Jake Gyllenhaal makes his Marvel movies debut in the Jon Watts directorial. The movie recorded an opening week collection of Rs 61.01 crore.
The movie has further seen a rise during the second weekend. According to Box Office India, Spider-Man: Far From Home collected a box office collection of Rs 4.75 crore on Day 9. The Sunday box office collection brought the movie's second-weekend collection to Rs 12 crore. These numbers take the total collection of Spider-Man: Far From Home's India collection to Rs 73.01 crore.
"The film should cross 85 crore nett and maybe even get to 90 crore nett. It did not look like it would go this as the weekday collections had dropped and there was a big release like Super 30 to come but the film managed to hold and consolidate in the second weekend and will be number two for Hollywood this year in India after Avengers - Endgame," the site reported.
Spider-Man: Far From Home managed to make good collections despite the World Cup and Wimbledon finals. On the international front, Forbes reveals that the Spider-Man movie earned $274.52 million since its release in the US. Worldwide, the movie has collected close to $850 million.
