Spider Man: Far From Home Box Office India 1st Weekend: Tom Holland starrer inches closer to 50 crore mark

Tom Holland's film, Spider-Man: Far From Home is winning hearts in India, as the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film is inching closer to the 50 crore mark at the Indian box-office. Along with Tom, Spider-Man: Far From Home also stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio.

Spider-Man: Far From Home could aptly be described as the epilogue to Avengers: Endgame. Through Peter Parker's perspective, we get to know how everyone is coping with the after-effects of Endgame and most specifically, the Blip! Peter wants to stay away from his superhero alter-ego, Spider-Man and just have a normal teenage life. However, when The Eternals threaten planet Earth, Peter has to suit up and along with Quentin Beck aka Mysterio, save the world from destruction.

The Tom Holland starrer released in India on July 4, 2019, and hence, had a four-day first weekend. The Sunday collections for the MCU film remained steady as it earned Rs 14.50 crore, according to Box Office India. The total collections for Spider-Man: Far From Home at the domestic box-office, so far, is Rs 44.75 crore (Thursday - Rs 9.75 crore, Friday - Rs 8.50 crore, Saturday - Rs 12 crore and Sunday - Rs 14.50 crore). While Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently, the most successful Spider-Man film in India with Rs 60 crore, Spider-Man: Far From Home will smoothly sail past Homecoming.
