Actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor's Chhichhore has hit the theatres and opened to mixed reviews. Directed by Dangal fame Nitesh Tiwari, the film is sure to take you on a nostalgia ride reminiscing about your college and hostel days. According to a report in Box Office India, the film opened to lesser than expected occupancy and witnessed a slow start. The film had a slow start of 10 to 15 per cent and will depend heavily on the evening shows. As per the report, Sushant Singh Rajput's last to last film Kedarnath opened better.
However, the college drama is expected to pick up pace over the weekend. Owing to festive celebrations and Saaho's success, it may face some competition. Chhichhore will be relying on the multiplex business solely as single screens are performing dull and these will hardly pick as Saaho continues to dominate the smaller centres.
Chhichhore starring Shraddha Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Naveen Polishetty, and Varun Sharma, among others, is a film that follows the journey of college friends, who reunite after decades later in unexpected circumstances. The movie has been praised by celebs as well as Sushan't rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. In a recent interview, Sushant Singh Rajput opened up on working with Shraddha Kapoor and revealed in the past, they both were to collaborate for different projects but things didn’t work out. “I think it was 2-3 films that we had this opportunity to work with each other but dates did not work out between us, but we were looking forward,” said Sushant.
