Thugs of Hindostan Box Office Day 3: Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer enters the 100 crore club

Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan released on Wednesday i.e. November 8, 2018. While TOH witnessed a further drop on Day 3, the film has entered the 100 crore club.

When Bollywood stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan meet on the silver screen for the first time, you can expect fireworks and Diwali 2018 proved to do just that with the multi-starrer titled Thugs of Hindostan. Also starring Katrina Kafi and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles, the Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor directorial released on Wednesday i.e. November 8, 2018. While the critics were mostly negative about the movie, the audience has been flocking the theatres.

On the opening day, Big B and Aamir's movie witnessed a massive box office opening of Rs 52 crore nett and in the process, shattered many BO records. However, Day 2 saw a nationwide 45% drop with the collections standing at Rs 28.25 crore nett. According to Box Office India, Day 3 collections have also witnessed a further drop as the film earned in the Rs 22.5-23 crore nett range. The total collections have solidified Thugs of Hindostan as a member of the 100-crore club.

Meanwhile, when we had asked Aamir about his character in Thugs Of Hindostan, Firangi Mallah being similar to Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, the actor confided that intrinsically, the characters are similar. However, Aamir was hopeful that after watching Thugs of Hindostan, Firangi Mallah will make the audience forget about Jack Sparrow.
