Ujda Chaman Box Office Collection Day 3: Sunny Singh starrer witnessed significant growth during weekend
Sunny Singh’s Ujda Chaman, which had opened to a slow start at the box office, has now witnessed decent growth in its collections during the opening weekend.
Sunny Singh, who became a household name with his performance with his performance in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, has been creating a lot of buzz in tinselvile courtesy his recent release Ujda Chaman. The movie deals with premature balding and has grabbed a lot of attention for its unique subject. Interestingly, while the trailer had witnessed a great response from the audience, the movie failed to leave an impression on the ticket windows.
Ujda Chaman, which had released on November 1, opened to mixed reviews from the audience and witnessed a slow start at the box office with a collection of Rs. 1.75 crore. While it was expected that the movie will witness a growth in the coming days, the word of mouth did do wonder for this Sunny Singh starrer. According to Box Office India, Ujda Chaman had a significant rise in its numbers during the opening weekend and raked in Rs. 3 crore on Sunday. This hike in the collections took the total earnings of the movie to a total of Rs. 7.25 crore.
While Ujda Chaman is expected to have a decent run at the box office, it will also face a tough competition from Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala. Helmed by Amar Kaushik, the movie is slated to release on November 8, 2019, and will also be dealing with premature balding.
Interestingly, Ujda Chaman and Bala were said to have a major clash at the ticket windows and even instigated a heated argument between the makers. However, the clash was averted after Ujda Chaman was shifted a week ahead for the release. Now, only time will reveal if Ayushmann Khurrana starrer will be able to outshine Sunny Singh’s movie at the box office.
