Director Siddharth Anand's action entertainer featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff hit the cinemas on October 2, 2019. The film opened to a brilliant box office collection of a whopping Rs 51.50 crore. It not only collected good reviews but also became the highest-grossing movie of all-time, beating the Avengers: Endgame. The film continued its winning run at the ticket window and crossed the 200 crore checkpoint in its first week itself.
The film did fairly well on its first weekend and went up a huge 55% on its second Saturday collecting 10.75 crore net on Day 11 itself. The net collection of the film sums up to 244 crores despite fierce competition with The Sky Is Pink and Joker running simultaneously in over 3000 screens. The numbers look similar to that of URI - The Surgical Strike which is the second-highest grosser of the year 2019 till now.
War is on course to reach the 300 crore mark and next week will be the deciding week whether the film crosses another checkpoint or fails to create new records. The action-packed drama comprises awe-inspiring fight sequences between Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Vaani Kapoor's presence brings glamour to the story and the film has been making a lot of noise since its release. It is expected to stir the Box Office and create new records, however, the coming days will decide the film's fate.
