War Box Office Collection Day 12: Hrithik Roshan’s film beats Uri and becomes second highest grosser of 2019
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff War refuses to slow down at the box office and has emerged as the second-highest grosser of the year after beating Vicky Kaushal’s URI: The Surgical Strike.
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s jodi has been a hit among the audience and the magnificent box office collection of their first collaboration War is a proof of it. The movie, which released on October 2, 2019, has taken the ticket windows by a storm and received rave reviews from both the audience and critics alike. In fact, this Siddharth Anand directorial emerged as the highest opener of the year and even crosses 200 crore in its second week itself.
Continuing its winning run at the box office, War refuses to slow down even in its second weekend as well and raked in a collection of Rs 30 crores. Interestingly, the movie, which did face competition from Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar’s The Sky Is Pink, remained unfazed and turned out to be the ultimate winner. In fact, it has now got a free run at the box office until Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4 hits the big screens on Diwali.
