Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s action entertainer War seems to be unstoppable at the box office. The movie, which opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics alike, has set the box office on fire since the day it released and became the biggest opener of the year after dethroning Salman Khan’s Bharat with a stupendous collection of Rs. 51.50 crore.

And while this Siddharth Anand directorial has crushed several records at the box office, it refuses to slow down anytime soon. In fact, continuing its dream run, War has witnessed a significant jump at the box office in its first weekend. In fact, the movie recorded a growth of 30% on Sunday itself and minted Rs. 36 crore nett. To note, this is the highest Sunday collection of the year so far and has taken the total box office collections of War to Rs. 158 crore nett.

Interestingly, with this stupendous collection, War has once again beaten Salman Khan’s Bharat at the box office. To note, prior to War, Bharat too witnessed a five-day weekend earlier this year and earned Rs. 140 crore nett. However, War managed to get a lead of Rs. 18 crore over Bharat. Looks like the intriguing chemistry between Hrithik and Tiger and their high octane action sequences have done wonders for War.

On the other hand, with another holiday (Dussehra) around the corner, War is expected to witness a massive hike in its collection again. In fact, given its popularity among the audience and the positive word of mouth it has been receiving, the movie is expected to enter the 200 crore club this week.
