Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War has taken the box office by a storm. The movie turned out to be a commendable crowd puller and the impressive box office numbers perfectly narrate the story of its success. And continuing its winning run at the ticket window, this Siddharth Anand directorial has crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark within a week of its release.
War, which had raked in Rs. 179 crore nett until Monday, witnessed a growth of 35% in its collections on Tuesday. The movie minted around Rs. 27.50 crore nett taking its first week collection to Rs. 206 crore nett. Looks like Dussehra turned lucky for Hrithik and Tiger’s action entertainer as the movie not only entered the prestigious Rs. 200 crore club but also recorded the highest Tuesday collections of the year.

Besides, the movie is also on a spree to crush several box office records. With its magnificent run at the box office, War has recorded the third highest first week collections of all times after Salman Khan’s Sultan (2016) and Prabhas’ Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017). In fact, it has also beaten Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju, which earned Rs. 200.08 crore in its first week, to grab the third position in the list.
To note, so far War has emerged as the third highest grosser after Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh and Vicky Kaushal’s URI: The Surgical Strike. However, given its winning run, it is expected that the biggest action entertainer of 2019 will also emerge as the highest grosser of the year.
