Arjun Kapoor is synonymous with machoism and his stubble look with muscular body surely adds to that image of his. So when he decided to play a house husband in Ki and Ka many felt it was a risk. But now that the film has done well, Arjun is relieved that his gut feeling worked well.

Probe him if he too considered it as a risk and Arjun opens up, "No, never and that is why I did it. I din't over analyze it and did it because of the director. If you bind yourself with things then you will never be able to experiment. Yes, in retrospect when I looked back, yes it was a risk. When the media met me and told me it is a daring film, but that wasn't the reason for doing it. I did it because I found the story worth telling. Every woman will connect with the film if not man and that is 50% of the audience, which essentially happened. So somewhere my gut was write. Again, in today's day and age when most heroes have a different definition of heroism, I tried to experiment. But as an actor that is what you are supposed to do. You have to push the envelope. I thought of it as cool and fun film. Didn't know it will be lead to some heavy discussions. So it is good to experiment. I should do that more often. I should take risks also more often."

Quiz him if he is happy with the amazing response the film is getting despite mixed reviews and Arjun admits, "Amazing (response) I was hoping, definitely. Sometimes when you want good things to happen, they do come your way and this is like a nice wish, dream come true. It is a nice rom-com, chick flick, date flick with a nice happy ending. So we have also had the same in our journey. The audience has given us the love and that feeling no one will understand."

He adds, "The audience doesn't think the way critics do. They don't make analytical thinking. You have to overlook what they say when audience has loved the film. I haven't dwelled on what the critics have said because clearly they are not on the same wavelength as us with this film. The audience has still loved it and that is what is right about it."
