EXCLUSIVE: Must be just reports - Tiger Shroff on working opposite Jhanvi-Sara in SOTY sequel
After entertaining the audiences with his action in Baaghi, Tiger Shroff is confident that A Flying Jatt will be loved by the audience. While the movie has hit the screens today, few days before its release, Tiger spoke to us about his experience of working on a superhero movie and his forthcoming projects. Read on...
Were you skeptical when A Flying Jatt was offered to you?
Not at all. It was a childhood dream to play a superhero. I wanted to be launched as a superhero. I am excited and confident about this one. He will be definitely appreciated by the masses. It is the film for the kids and the family. It is a clean film.
How was it working with Jacqueline Fernandez?
I can't tell you. She is such a happy-go-lucky-positive soul. She is such a hardworking actress. Every time she is on set, I don't remember not laughing with her. We were always comfortable.
You also shared screen space with Nathan Jones. How was the experience?
He is so menacing and powerful that he made me feel responsible. He is such a perfect fit for the character. Because of him, the action has gone to another level. When you have a better actor with you, your performance gets better.
What attracted you to Student of the Year 2?
The original SOTY was such a youth and fun film. It had great music and that is my zone. I love musicals - be it High School Musical or any other film. And then it has Karan Johar. Munna Michael is also like that. Sabbir sir promised me that what he did with action in Baaghi, he will do the same with dance in this film. And I have always wanted to do a movie on Michael Jackson.
Your sister is assisting Sabbir Khan on Munna Michael....
She asked me how would you feel if I came along with you to the set and would assist Sabbir sir? I told her not to think it would be easy. We begin shooting in the first week of September.
Lastly, reports of Jhanvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan joining you in SOTY 2 are doing the rounds. Any truth to it?
Must be just reports. I can't comment on it and it is up to my director and producers.
