If you think you've done a lot in your life, then you should look up to SRK and Big B - Prashant Sawant
From working as an office boy to training the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan, trainer Prashant Sawant has come a long way. In a tell-all interview, the star trainer gets candid and shares his life story with Pinkvilla.
Here are some excerpts from the interview:
I have been training SRK for 20 years. My dad never wanted me to become a trainer because he used to think ki trainer ko kya milta hai?
I think half of my life I have slept in the gym. I used to work late and would take the last train at around 1.00-1.30 in the night to Dahisar. And then I would take the first train at about 5.00 in the morning to reach back to the gym.
I worked as an office boy at a friend's office. He told me to get into training and work as a trainer so that I could earn Rs. 1000 extra. Back then, I thought, if I get 1000 from office and 1000 as a trainer, I can afford to buy a pair of jeans.
I told my dad that he should give me one year and if I don't fare well, then I will work where ever he wants me to.
When I was working in Bandra, SRK came there. He wanted to train and he had hurt his knee. That time, Aryan was one-year-old. I was just 17 years old. The way he approached me, that made me more focused on the training. He trusted me completely and I had a major responsibility. Till today, if I give him anything, he will never check on it. He will blindly follow.
Whatever I am today, in that, SRK has a very big part.
