Salman Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Tubelight which is slated to release on June 23, 2017. Since Eid is on a Monday, this year Tubelight is at an advantage as it will have a 4-day weekend.

Since now the trend is about box-office figures, we got in touch with trade experts to find out their prediction for Salman Khan's movie:

Akshaye Rathi (Film Exhibitor): On what the opening day and weekend collection would be for Tubelight, Akshaye said, "The opening day should be anywhere between INR 25-30 crore. I don't think it will be as high as a Sultan or Prem Ratan Dhan Payo because Tubelight is releasing in the peak period of Ramadan. The entire Muslim audience which is huge on Salman Khan doesn't come out. The larger chunk of it doesn't come out during Ramadan, especially the last week of Ramadan. While the first 3-4 Ramadan days may not be as high, I see the collections going ballistic from Tuesday, a day after Eid. This is like history repeating itself. The same thing had happened when Boney Kapoor's Wanted had released during the last 3 or 4 days of Ramadan. Their collections was a bit subdued and from the day of Eid, the collections went ballistic. I see a repeat telecast happening now. There's a great chance of Tubelight hitting a century over the 4 days. A bare minimum average of INR 25 crore is certainly happening over the 4 days, even despite Ramadan which is terrific."

Why does no one think about clashing with Salman Khan? "It has happened in the past where people have clashed with a Salman Khan movie, but the results of those clashes have surely discouraged people to stop doing it anymore. Gangs of Wasseypur 2 came with Ek Tha Tiger and Bodyguard came with That Girl in Yellow Boots. If you see what happened to those two movies as compared to what their potential was because they came with Salman - that probably is the reason why no one is taking him on. A Salman Khan film will release with an average screen size of 4,500 screens and that is the number of good screens that exists in the country. All cinemas are in the business to make money and they will obviously give preference to a Salman Khan movie in terms of giving shows and screens because that is where the money is. Any movie coming with a Salman Khan film will not have an optimum release and it's a better idea to stay away and come on a separate date rather than take this on and not do the kind of business that you optimally can," Akshaye revealed.

Atul Mohan (Trade Analyst): On what the opening day and weekend collection would be for Tubelight, Atul said, "The opening day collections can be anywhere between INR 25-30 crore. As it is the last Friday of the Ramadan month and with a 4-day weekend, the first weekend collection can go up to INR 130 crore."

On whether Tubelight will be Salman's biggest film, he said, "Salman Khan's movies are breaking their own records with crossing two back-to-back INR 300 crore movies - Sultan and even Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which was not that great as a film which Salman is known to do but even that made good money for the makers. Salman is bettering his own records."

Why does no one think about clashing with Salman Khan? "Nobody can even think of clashing with a Salman Khan film. The last few films of Salman; be it during Eid or Diwali, he's the biggest draw at the box-office. The first choice amongst his fans will obviously be his movies itself," Atul stated.

Girish Johar (Film Trade and Business Analyst): On what the opening day and weekend collection would be for Tubelight, Girish said, "It should be in the range of a quarter of a century i.e. INR 25 crore on the opening day and it should do a century in the 4-day weekend."

On whether Tubelight will be Salman's biggest film, he said, "Every film of Salman brings in new and higher expectations and everytime his fans want each of his films to be bigger and bigger. Tubelight is one of the most awaited films of the year. The trailer has been appreciated and everyone is liking the songs as well."

Why does no one think about clashing with Salman Khan? "Salman Khan is Salman Khan. They have to think 100 times before thinking about clashing with Salman that too on Eid," concluded Johar.

Bharati S Pradhan (Film Critic): On what the opening day and weekend collection would be for Tubelight, Bharati said, "The opening day will be between INR 20-25 crore and I think it will go on to make a lot of money in the first weekend itself; about INR 50-60 crore. The opening day figure, I would give it a lot but after that, it depends on the content."

Why does no one think about clashing with Salman Khan? "I think they should stay away from clashing with anybody, why just Salman Khan!? Shah Rukh Khan has stayed away from clashing with Akshay Kumar. So it's not just Salman Khan, people are avoiding any clashes," she said.
