Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's Jagga Jasoos has finally hit the screens today. The movie was in the making for as good as three years and faced many obstacles including Katrina and Ranbir's much public breakup.

Ahead of Jagga Jasoos' big release, we managed to interview Katrina Kaif who spoke candidly about the movie. When asked about the emotions she was experiencing on seeing the film's release, Katrina admitted, "I am relieved, happy, nervous. There is a lot of nervousness because a huge amount of my life has gone into it. I really want it to do well. I don't think anyone of us has been able to think of the alternative. Also, it is a new film and a new vision. It deserves to be seen."

The promos of the movie have received positive feedback. Quiz Katrina if that was overwhelming and she says, "See, of course, there is a lot of excitement. And there is a lot of positive feedback. I have been in the industry for quite sometime now and I know how this process goes. For me the test is Friday. The test is for the film. Not for the promos or songs or trailer. This is all fun. Film promotions and all is good... you are out there spreading the word. But Jagga Jasoos is a movie that you can't show even 5% of the visuals or movie to anyone through promos. You will understand its scope only when you watch it in the theatre."

Given the kind of buzz the movie has generated, one wonders if Katrina is happy that the thought of shelving the film wasn't taken seriously by the crew of the movie.

"I think the thought of shelving the movie came not primarily due to the time and stresses on the movie, but due to other factors. The three years when it was made, it is not just the film that saw a hard time, there were many people who saw the hard times. The journey was a tumultuous one but the thought of shelving didn't come out of lack of belief or faith. It came due to a lot of strive and stress around us. Sometimes it can get a bit much for anyone to take. It came for a short period of time. It came because of the other stress around," emphasizes Katrina.

Unfortunately, Katrina's last two films - Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho haven't done well at the box office. Has that added more pressure in terms of expecting Jagga Jasoos to do well?

"Of course you learn how to deal with success and failure. But it does add pressure because it is important to have a film which has BO acceptance. Beyond the point, there is no point stressing over it. This movie is a unique concept that I will be always proud of. It is not frivolous or careless film. It is a passion project," concludes Kaif.
