EXCLUSIVE: Kangana Ranaut on her injury - I got a genuine and authentic glimpse of the Queen's life
Kangana Ranaut talks about her injury on the sets of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
Last night, we informed you how Kangana Ranaut suffered a major injury on the sets of her upcoming period drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Kangana, who is shooting for the movie in Hyderabad's Ramoji Filmcity, suffered a deep cut on her forehead during a sword fight scene with her co-star Nihar Pandya.
As soon as the unfortunate accident occurred, the feisty actress was rushed to the Apollo Hospital amidst pain and blood loss. She got a total of 15 stitches on the forehead and has been advised rest for four days.
Today, we got in touch with Kangana's team to check on her health and requested for a picture of the actress too. One look at the photo and you will realize how deep the cut is. But that doesn't seem to have deterred the brave actress. Going by the photo, it surely seems that Kangana will wear the cut with a pride, just like the way Jhansi Ki Rani did.
After looking at the photograph, we have also had a change of mind. While we thought stunts in movies are safe as they are done with immense precaution, this one proved us wrong!
When we spoke to Kangana about the injury, she said, "I am a bit embarrassed to be thrilled to have a battle scar on my face. Also, people from my team have been telling me that it's like that Peshwa teeka that Manikarnika wore. It's a bit dramatic but I am excited that my face was covered in blood and I got a genuine and authentic glimpse of the Queen's life."
Directed by Krish, Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi has Kangana playing the title role of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai. For the same, Kangana has been training hard in sword fighting under Hollywood stunt director Nick Powell. She is also taking horse riding lessons.
