Himesh Reshammiya and his long-time girlfriend of over a dozen years, Sonia Kapoor, may have had a quiet shaadi last night but their honeymoon will be definitely more glamorous and exotic! Usually couples who get married go for a honeymoon post marriage to one location but Himesh and Sonia will go to two foreign destinations – Dubai and Japan. We got more news for you – from now Sonia will style Himesh for all his movies and other work.
Talking exclusively to us about his honeymoon Himesh Reshammiya says, “I have a show again on the May 19 at Kanpur in India so we are going first for a short trip to Dubai now. We are going to Dubai for a short break and also because she (Sonia) needs to shop for me as she does my styling and my film is starting from August this year. After my show gets over we will go to Tokyo also next month. It will be a work-cum-honeymoon because I have show in Tokyo for which the date will be locked soon.”
Himesh tells us proudly that his new bride is responsible for his latest cool look. “She has styled my new look and also for my previous television shows. I have become a fitness freak only thanks to Sonia as she keeps a check on my diet etc since years. She has been into fitness since a very long time and has great knowledge about fitness. She did put on a little weight in between due to her sweet tooth but now she is again back to her fitness regime.”
Himesh and Sonia tied the knot at a low-key ceremony today early morning at 1.30 am at his Lokhandwala residence. After he got divorced from his first wife Komal on June 6 last year (after a 22-year-old marriage), there were reports last year that he would tie the knot in 2018 to his long-time girlfriend and television actress Sonia Kapoor, who has been seen in serials like Remix, Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai and Sati. It was speculated that Sonia was the reason for his marriage breaking up - something denied by Komal in a statement she had released last year.
Yesterday Himesh started trending on social media with the news that he had got married in a secret ceremony to her a day before – a rumour denied by Himesh who told us that the marriage, an intimate affair, took place later last night (according to Hindu rituals) at his residence Oberoi Sky Heights in Lokhandwala with their parents and Himesh’s son Swayam. While there won’t be a reception, the couple plans to have a party for film fraternity and friends after they are back from their honeymoons.
Himesh adds, “Formalizing our relationship was wonderful. Love is a beautiful feeling and I am I am feeling on top of the world. We love each other so much and now two films of mine are starting soon, so yes, life is fantastic right now!”
