CINTAA on Alok Nath rape charges: We are looking into possibility if we can initiate an action in such cases

Me Too Movement has taken the entertainment industry by storm. It all started with Tanushree Dutta opening up on her ordeal that she was harassed by Nana Patekar on the sets of Horn Ok Pleasss. Post that, Twitter was flooded with women sharing their incidents and then back to back, names from the industry were pulled out like that of Rajat Kapoor and Vikas Bahl. But, the most shocking revelation has been made by a veteran TV writer-producer, Vinta Nanda. She has accused the 'SANSKAARI' Alok Nath of raping her more than once almost two decades ago.
She shared her horrific experience in a long Facebook post. Sushant Singh, who is general secretary of Cine & TV Arts Association (CINTAA), has favoured Vinta and has assured full support to her and also added that a show cause notice will be sent to Alok Nath. Sushant tweeted, "Dear @vintananda I am so so sorry. As @CintaaOfficial a show-cause Notice will be sent to @aloknath first thing in the mrng, why he shudnt b expld. Unfortunately we’ve to follow the due process. I urge u to file a complaint against this vile creature, we extend u full support." The veteran actor was playing the male lead of TV show Tara when the incident happened.
CINTAA has now released a statement in lieu of this controversy. Read it here:

CINTAA is also re-investigating the case of Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar. Amit Behl, Senior Joint Secretary of CINTAA, said that the organisation will go through Tanushree's 5-page long complaint with an FIR. He aslo reportedly said that the organisation has got in top two women lawyers as a part of the team.
CINTAA will also ask a detailed explanation from both Tanushree and Nana. The recent development is that Tanushree has moved the case to the Maharastra's Women Commission. Many are in favour of Tanushree and some are poking her saying that what took her 10 years to bring this up.
