EXCLUSIVE: Adnan Sami’s son Azaan on his parents’ reaction to Main Tera: They are not easy people to satisfy
Azaan Sami Khan’s recent song Main Tera has received a great response from the audience and the young singer is overwhelmed with the success of the song.
Adnan Sami is one of the most renowned artists in Bollywood who has won millions of hearts with his melodious voice. And while we still can’t get over Adnan’s euphonious voice, his son Azaan Sami Khan has also ventured into the music industry and is carving a niche for himself in the showbiz world. Recently, the young singer released the first song of his debut album Main Tera and it has received a stupendous response from the audience.
In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, Azaan shared his excitement about the success of Main Tera and said, “Everything is overwhelming. I always wanted to make an album but I didn’t expect this kind of response. For anybody, who is bringing forward his/her own creation, it is very overwhelming. I have grown up in a household where music is a very important part of my life. So, when I made this album, I hoped that people will like it, but I didn’t expect it. So, I am very grateful and thankful who has been liking it.”
When quizzed about his parents Adnan and Zeba Bakhtiar’s reaction, the young singer said that his parents are quite difficult to satisfy. “They are very critical in a very good way. They want me to do the best I can, so they make sure to have that pressure which is good. They are not easy to satisfy. With my parents being from the entertainment industry, they have worked with some great people, they are definitely not easy people to satisfy,” he added.
Interestingly, Azaan’s debut album also has a song by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and he can’t stop gushing about the legendary singer. Sharing his experience of collaborating with Rahat, Azaan said, “I am very lucky that he gave me the honour to bless the album. I had worked with him before on something and I knew him. But when this happened, I spoke to him, he was kind enough to want to do it. Sab kehte hain unka kaam different hain and this was an entirely different track which Khan Saab had never done before. In fact, I thought he would refuse to do it. But he came forward and me the track his own with his sheer skill and talent. It was incredible working with him and I feel very blessed that he gave me this honour.”
While Azaan is yet to unveil the other songs from the album he is hopeful that the audience will like it. Meanwhile, there has been a buzz about the handsome singer’s acting debut as well. However, Azaan has clarified that it will happen only when he will be able to focus on it completely.
