EXCLUSIVE: After Ranveer Singh's Simmba, Rohit Shetty to direct Akshay Kumar in his next?

We got an EXCLUSIVE scoop that, soon after Simmba, Rohit Shetty will start with his next project, in which Akshay Kumar will be playing the lead role.

Rohit Shetty is currently gearing up for his upcoming directorial titled Simmba. In the film, we will see Ranveer Singh play the role of a cop for the first time in his career and his character is named Sangram Bhalerao. Simmba also stars newcomer Sara Ali Khan opposite Ranveer and the trailer will be out on December 3, 2018. The film is slated to release on December 28, 2018. Looks like, before the release of his film, Rohit has planned out his next directorial.

Yes, a source EXCLUSIVELY revealed to us that the ace filmmaker will be directing none other than the action superstar Akshay Kumar in his upcoming film. The film is likely to go on floors next year in the month of May and June. The source also revealed that Akshay, who was planning to do Hera Pheri sequel next has given away his dates to Rohit. The reason being, the third instalment of Hera Pheri franchise has been delayed a bit.

Meanwhile, Akshay has a very interesting line up of films. He will next be seen in bilingual film 2.0, which is a sequel to 2010 film Enthiran (Robot) starring superstar Rajinikanth. In the film, Akshay will be seen as the main antagonist. 2.0 is directed by Shankar and is slated to release on November 29, 2018.

Soon after 2.0, Akshay will be seen in Kesari, which is based on the historic Battle of Saragarhi held in the year 1897.
