EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar to NOT come with Sooryavanshi on Eid 2020, will release Laxmmi Bomb two weeks after
"Akshay Kumar will not be coming with Sooryavanshi on Eid 2020 and will instead hit theatres on June 5 with Laxmmi Bomb," informs a source.
Ever since it was announced that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will be coming up with Sooryavanshi next year during Eid, speculations of a clash between Salman Khan starrer Inshallah and Akshay's Sooryavanshi was the hottest topic. However, fast forward it to May 18, a few minutes back Akshay Kumar unveiled the first poster of his upcoming movie, Laxmmi Bomb, which is an official Hindi remake of the hit South Indian film Kanchana. Pinkvilla has now learnt that after mulling over the possible clash, Akshay along with the team has decided to move Sooryavanshi to a later date and instead release Laxmmi Bomb on June 5, 2020, which is exactly two weeks post Eid.
Says a source, "After an internal meeting with the team and everyone else involved, Akshay decided to move Sooryavanshi to a later date so that Salman, who is known to have an Eid release every year, can get a solo release and after two weeks, he can bring Laxmmi Bomb. The decision was also taken keeping in mind the promotions, as juggling between two movie promotions would do no good to both the parties. Moreover, Salman and Akshay share a great friendship and want both the movies to work well. An official announcement will follow soon."
Meanwhile, when Katrina was quizzed about the possible clash earlier, she had said that she is sure both the movies won't clash. Speaking of Inshallah, the movie will see Salman opposite Alia Bhatt and will be helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie will mark Salman and Alia's first collaboration and it definitely promises to be an interesting watch.
