EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar to start shooting for Ram Setu from April in Mumbai; Read Deets

Akshay Kumar is a busy man. Soon after wrapping up Bell Bottom and Prithviraj, the actor started shooting for Farhad Samji’s Bachchan Pandey in Rajasthan. We now have a new update on Khiladi Kumar’s next shooting schedule. In November last year, Akshay Kumar announced Ram Setu, which will be directed by Abhishek Sharma. “This Deepawali, let us endeavor to keep alive the ideals of Ram in the consciousness of all Bharatiyas by building a bridge (setu) that will connect generations to come. Taking this mammoth task ahead, here is our humble attempt - #RamSetu,” he wrote on Twitter. Akki is now gearing up to start shooting for this film.
“Akshay will start shooting for Ram Setu from April. The first schedule will begin in Mumbai which will last for a month. After which the actor along with his co-stars will move to another city in India, which will be finalised soon. In the meanwhile, the cast will continue meeting for reading sessions and prep,” informs a source close to the development. Recently, Akshay posted a picture on his Instagram account with the film’s leading ladies Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha, director Abhishek, producer Vikram Malhotra and creative producer Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
