Not many leading ladies of Bollywood have the joy to exclaim that they were a part of a Yash Chopra directorial. More specifically, there are only two actresses who can proudly proclaim to be Chopra's last leading ladies. That throne belongs to Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The duo starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Yash ji's last directorial - Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

The movie was a poetic swan song which showcased that Yash Chopra was the true King of Romance.

Today marks the late filmmaker's birthday who spread joy in so many people's lives including Anushka who made her debut under the YRF banner with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Last year, Anushka had taken to Instagram to remember Yash ji on his birthday and tweeted, "Forever grateful for having worked with Yash ji in such a short span of my career & to have known a great filmmaker & an even greater person."

When Pinkvilla got in touch with Anushka, we asked her if there was a memorable anecdote from the sets of a Yash Chopra movie. On this, the actress said, "Yash ji was always in a good mood and laughing. During the shoot of JTHJ, every morning, I would come to the set and see Yash ji standing there beside the camera, getting ready for the first shot. That used to create an excitement in me. That was one my cherished memories of him."
