EXCLUSIVE: Arjun Kapoor on his learnings from the last year: Be happy with where you are & what you have

The Covid-19 lockdown came into effect from March last year, and we have all learnt a lot from that period. Now, in a few days we will mark one year from the time the first lockdown was announced, and Pinkvilla spoke to Arjun Kapoor to know about his experience and learnings from 2020. Here’s what the actor has to say. “I have learnt that you need to find the peace of mind and be happy with where you are and what you have. You need to be with yourself, because you cannot constantly be sprinting. You have to learn to rest, sleep, recharge yourself and walk. Literally walk your life rather than jogging and sprinting all the time, and enjoy the journey far more by being content with what you have achieved also,” says Arjun.

He is thankful for where he is right now in life. “There is a sense of gratification for where I stand in life, and surviving 10 years in a profession that is ruthless. I have learnt to take my success, hold it dear to me and say it's not always about what you are chasing, but also looking behind and realising what you have achieved so far. Also, it’s important to strike a balance between personal and professional life, because you realise that life is nothing without near and dear ones. When the fear of life comes in, you forget your so-called stardom and your movies. You only worry about the health of everybody around you,” adds Arjun.

The actor too had tested positive for Covid-19 in last September. “I am absolutely fine now. I managed to get out of Covid, make a whole film, so it's been quite an eventful year. It was the diligence of working for 7-8 years that may be I was able to rest enough without being worried about coming out of lockdown. I think I have earned my chance to breathe in this industry now, so I was very happy to just be enjoying the process versus chasing it,” Arjun signs off.
