After successfully wrapping up the Abhishek Kapoor directed Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui in the midst of Pandemic, Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to commence shooting for his next film, a yet untitled spy thriller to be helmed by Anubhav Sinha. It marks the reunion of the duo after Article 15, which was appreciated by the audience and critics alike. The actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport in the morning, and on checking with our sources, Pinkvilla has learnt that the actor has air dashed to Guwahati to commence shooting for his next film.
“It’s going to be a long and intense schedule for the actor and it’s one of his biggest films till date in terms of scale and budget. He plays a spy in it. After Article 15, the director actor duo was on the lookout for something bigger and better, and that’s what led them to collaborate on this edge of the seat spy thriller,” a trade source told us. While all details of the film have been kept under wraps, we hear that the film goes on the floors next week, from Monday.
“Anubhav and his team has been in the north east for a while now, deciding on shooting spots and working on a plan to capture North East like never before. It’s an ambitious film, with action, and the team has the vision to mount it in a certain way set against the scenic beauty of North East, making it a theatrical experience for the audience,” the source added. It’s going to be a marathon schedule and the shooting spots stem for the screenplay. “The locations are treated like a character in the film. It’s an edge of the seat spy thriller set in the North Eastern states,” the source signed off.
The movie is produced by Anubhav with Bhushan Kumar and will target a theatrical release later this year. An official announcement is underway soon.
