EXCLUSIVE: Baaghi 3: Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor starrer a remake of R Madhavan's Tamil hit Vettai?
Baaghi 3 is in the making. The film sees Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor reunite and Ritiesh Deshmukh joining the equation. A little birdie tells us that the movie is a remake of a Tamil movie Vettai.
*Sniff sniff* We smell another remake in the pipeline. The word is already out that Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor are reuniting for another Baaghi movie. The duo, who kick-started the Baaghi franchise in 2016, is coming together for the third installment. It has also been revealed that Ritiesh Deshmukh is joining the Baaghi jodi for Baaghi 3. The movie's story is kept under wraps but we've got scoop which would give Baaghi fans an idea about the new Baaghi movie.
Sources have told Pinkvilla exclusively that Tiger, Shraddha and Ritesh starrer is possibly a remake of the Tamil hit film Vettai. The 2012 release stars Arya, R Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, and Amala Paul in the lead. We hear that Ritiesh and Tiger play the siblings in the movie. Shraddha plays the female lead. A little birdie reveals Sajid Nadiadwala bought the rights of Vettai and is adapting it into Baaghi 3. The Tamil movie, which also starred Ashutosh Rana, revolved around two brothers who were poles apart from each other. While the elder one is sensitive, the younger one is rebellious. When their father, a police officer, dies, the elder brother also goes rogue and avenge the death of their father.
If this is the case, it wouldn't be the first time that the Baaghi series has adapted a South Indian film in the franchise. Baaghi 2 was a remake of South film Kshanam and that was directed by Ahmed Khan. Baaghi 3 has already begun filming. A portion of the film is being shot in Mumbai.
Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
