EXCLUSIVE: BB13: Heartbreaking as snide remarks on masculinity are being passed: Sidharth’s friend Natasha
Sidharth Shukla’s friend Natasha Singh opens up on Bigg Boss 13, snide remarks being passed against him and more. Read.
Bigg Boss 13 has been doing decently with Sidharth Shukla being the favourite contestant for the majority. Hate him, love him but you definitely cannot ignore him. Though many call him ‘aggressive’ many others feel he is playing the right game. In an exclusive chat, his friend Natasha Singh spoke to Pinkvilla and opened up on why she feels Shukla is being targeted. She also shared that the remarks made against Shukla are upsetting, to say the least. “Sidharth himself said he doesn't like to use the word ‘targeted’ but as an audience, I do feel that he is targeted and not just professionally but also personally. I remember in Gautam Gulati's season, he was a lone warrior as well but all were professional, nothing personal was said. But here, under the belt, nasty comments are being passed which is heartbreaking, to say the least,” Natasha said.
She added that the number of comments passed against him is inexplicable. “If you sit down and note, there will be a new dictionary to the insults made against Sidharth. Buddha, kamina, khoon mein hai, namard, mar jayega toh Pani nahi doongi, haiwan, janani I don't know what is happening. I don't think this has happened before. It is very filthy.”
Whether the insults have been bothering Sidharth’s family members, Natasha shared, “I am not in touch but I am sure they are watching the show. Though he is getting support online, his family members don't check it and all they see is what is shown on the show and it is horrible. People sometimes don't understand how much it can affect others.”
What about Rashami Desai and his fight inside? To that, Singh exclaimed, “Initially, the show looked like it was only about Sidharth and Rashami and then when she got out and returned, it looks like it is only about Sidharth because everyone wants to abuse and speak badly about him. To be honest, we were watching BB, my mom, who likes Rashami's work in previous serials, was like ‘from how they are showing it looks like your friend Sidharth has done something wrong.’ Then it occurred to me that if my mom thinks like this because of the way she is speaking inside, then I can imagine how others might be feeling.”
“What I know of him in personal life, is his way of talking might sound harsh as he is very to the point, and if you get negative with him he can't handle it. In the beginning, I was also shocked seeing his aggression because he does get angry but he has never been aggressive. But then, look at the house, there are so many snide comments being passed at him. Even A person who doesn't want to retaliate to anyone will after a point, you do lose your cool.
Natasha ended by saying that she feels he is one of the strong players.
