Songstress Sunidhi Chauhan is on cloud nine currently. The lovely singer, who celebrates her birthday today, has some more good news to share with the fans. Chauhan is pregnant with her first child.
Yes, you read that right!
Sunidhi Chauhan will soon be embracing motherhood. This is her first kid with husband Hitesh Sonik. Both Sunidh and Hitesh have been married for five years now, after tying the knot on April 15, 2012.
Not many know that Hitesh is Sunidhi's second husband. Before their marriage in April, when Hitesh was asked about his love story with Chauhan, he had said, "She was a little more than a child when she won the Meri Awaz Suno music contest on television. That's when we became friends. Over the years, she became a fine singer, and our friendship grew into love."
He had further said, "That Sunidhi is a wonderful singer is only a part of her personality. I love her first and foremost for the person she is. She has blended so well into my family. My folks dote on her. And I am very comfortable with her family too."
When we got in touch with Sunidhi and congratulated her on same, she replied with a 'Thank You'.
Well, here's wishing hearty congratulations to the lovely couple!
Meanwhile, in an interview when Sunidhi was asked about winning her reality show Meri Aawaz Suno and being judged by the legendary Lata Mangeshkar, the singer had admitted, "I was 13 when I participated in the show just to see Lata Mangeshkar. She is my goddess. I told dad to allow me to participate, he was against singing competitions. When I reached the mega final, Lata ji was sitting right in front of me. Manna Da, Pandit Jasraj ji, Parveen Sultana ji and Yash Chopra ji were there. Before my performance, I was afraid that if I saw her, I would start crying. I sang without looking at her, kept my eyes to the ground. When I was done, I looked straight up into the audience. I was too nervous to look at the judges. When I won, Lataji stood there with a trophy. I cried. She wiped my tears and said in my ears, 'Whatever you need, ask me, if you want to learn from anyone, just let me know'."
