Indian film industry lost one of the most talented and phenomenal actresses, Sridevi, this year in February. Her untimely death left a sudden void in the film industry and her for her family which cannot be filled. On the night of February 24, 2018, Sridevi lost her life due to accidental drowning in tub of their hotel bathroom in Dubai. Tomorrow marks Sridevi's first birthday after her demise and in order to honour the legendary actress, the Bollywood Art Project is building an 18ft tall mural painting of Sridevi on a building wall on Chapel Road, Bandra, Mumbai. This project is being headed by expert Ranjit Dahiya along with skilled artists Kunal Dahiya, Bidisha Biswas, Arushu and Richa. The reference for the painting is Sridevi's look from the film Gurudev.

Talking about Sridevi's painting, the work on the painting has begun for an 18x18 feet tall mural on a building in Bandra, Mumbai. All the artists working on it are toiling day and night to complete the painting as soon as possible. They are planning to finish it by August 13th and have an official inaugural but it all depends upon the rains which continue to lash the city of Mumbai.

When Pinkvilla got in touch with late Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor, the proud husband called Sridevi not a hero but a legend and said not a minute goes by when the family doesn’t miss her. Boney Kapoor expressed, "There are heroes and then there are legends, heroes get remembered but legends never die’ Sri lives with us every day.. not a minute goes by when we don’t miss her.. thank u for this honour.. Boney, Jahnvi & Khushi.."
