One of the biggest fundraising events takes place every year in New York by the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute and the who’s who from across the globe put on their best and grace the red carpet. Deepika Padukone, who is a global icon, also graced the event once again this year and stunned in a pink Zac Posen custom-made gown. Deepika’s look for the Met Gala was in line with the theme of the event and that was Camp: Notes On Fashion.
However, amidst all the buzz about the annual fundraiser, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Deepika Padukone may have found it hard to get ready for the event. This can be due to her current state of mind which was in the zone of Chhappak where she plays the role of the most known acid attack survivor. Sources close to the Padmaavat actress revealed that Deepika found it tough to get ready for the event as she was still in the skin of Laxmi Agarwal, the acid attack survivor.
While Deepika surely managed to get ready and ace the dramatic look, it surely wasn’t easy for her since from the past few months, she has been in Laxmi’s zone. Chhapaak is the story of Malti played by Deepika Padukone who is attacked a tender age with acid. How her life changes after that is the story. Vikrant Massey will be seen playing Deepika’s love interest in the film. The film is helmed by Meghna Gulzar and the first schedule has been shot in New Delhi. Now, the second schedule is going on in Mumbai. Deepika will be seen as Malti in the film. Chhapaak is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
