EXCLUSIVE: Emraan Hashmi to play the male lead opposite Jacqueline & Swara Bhasker in Arth remake?
Emraan Hashmi has reportedly been approached to play the male lead alongside Jacqueline Fernandes and Swara Bhasker in Arth remake. Read details.
It is the season of remakes and while there have been quite a few buzz about Jacqueline Fernandes and Swara Bhaskar stepping into the shoes of Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi in Arth remake, we now hear that Emraan Hashmi has been approached to play the male lead in the movie. Yes, you read it right. The original movie was helmed by Mahesh Bhatt, while the remake will be directed by south actress-filmmaker Revathi.
A source informs, "Emraan has been approached to play one of the male leads, possibly Kulbhushan Kharbanda's role. The actor is pretty excited about the part, given that the original was tactfully and meticulously looked over by Bhatt himself. Emraan's closeness with the Bhatt family is well known and Emraan obviously seems to be an obvious choice for the role." On the other hand, Swara plays the role of a deserted wife who takes the road to self-discovery after her husband leaves her. On the other hand, Jacqueline plays an actress, who inadvertently becomes the third wheel in their relationship.
The movie is said to go on floors by December this year or early next year. Though an official confirmation is yet to be received, let us know if this remake excites you?
Meanwhile, in recent times we have seen many films being remade. Be it Judwaa 2 or Coolie No 1, remakes have been doing good business at the box office, thanks to the strong recall value.
