EXCLUSIVE: Here's why Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Bharat trailer will be unique and grand
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reunite on screen for Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat. While the trailer will be releasing in March or May, here's why it will be unique and grand.
Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles and produced by Atul Agnihotri and Nikhil Namit, promises to be a spectacular treat on Eid (in June) this year. While the teaser released last week and has already garnered over 35 million views in six days, we have come to hear something special about the Bharat trailer. While it’s being speculated that the trailer may release in April, we have come to know that besides Salman Khan, it will also have all the main characters in the movie including Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni, Aasif Sheikh and Nora Fatehi. And yes! Katrina Kaif will definitely be shown in the Bharat trailer. In recent times, it is only in Total Dhamaal that we have seen almost the entire star cast featured in the trailer.
A source close to the movie says, "The Bharat trailer will have all the actors in it – from Katrina to Disha and Nora. Only it is uncertain whether Varun Dhawan’s character (he plays a businessman) who has a special appearance, in the movie, will be revealed in the trailer too or somewhere else as right now Varun’s look and role is under wraps. It is not easy to accommodate so many characters in one trailer so it remains to be seen how director Ali Abbas Zafar and producers, Atul and Nikhil, will manage this one. It will be difficult to leave out any character though, as each one is pivotal in Bharat's journey at every step. Everything is being done in a planned and systematic way as part of the strategy. Recently, some fans were upset and media was speculating why Katrina didn’t feature in the tease but here too the makers had a strategy. The makers wanted to establish the Bharat name first as Bharat is the name of Salman Khan too in the movie."
While it is speculated that the Bharat trailer may release in March or May, apparently the makers are still deciding about that. The source adds, "Ali, Atul and Nikhil are yet to take a call on the first trailer release. Right now, their focus is on the Bharat shoot getting complete. Three sets have been put up in this final and marathon shoot at Film City Studios in Mumbai and some songs are also being shot on Salman and Katrina and the other actors. While discussions are on about the trailer release, a final call will be taken in February as the entire shoot of the gets complete by the end of that month. Every schedule of Bharat, whether in Abu Dhabi or Malta, has wrapped up with a classy wrap-up party with the cast and crew and this time too it won’t be different. A grand wrap up party in Mumbai after the last schedule wraps is on the cards. It’s been a challenging shoot for the Bharat team but the reactions to the teaser has been fantastic and the Bharat unit is thrilled about it."
While Bharat is an official remake of the South Korean movie, An Ode To My Father, the movie has been adapted to suit the taste of Indian audiences. Bharat is about the journey of Bharat (Salman Khan), his journey through the various phases of Indian history, beginning from the partition of the country to the current scenario, and the people he meets during that journey. Katrina plays his wife.
