EXCLUSIVE: Iulia Vantur and NOT Katrina Kaif attends Salman Khan's nephew Ahil Sharma's birthday in Abu Dhabi
Salman Khan's nephew Ahil Sharma celebrated his second birthday in Abu Dhabi last week. The big birthday bash was attended by the whole Khandaan and Salman's Race 3 team.
Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur was one of the special invitees in Abu Dhabi at his sister Arpita Khan Sharma and her husband Aayush Sharma’s birthday (March 30) celebrations for their baby Ahil Sharma who turned two last week. The singer and TV show hostess flew down from the Philippines from the spa she was visiting to join the celebrations. However, Salman’s Tiger Zinda Hai co-star Katrina Kaif, who has been spotted at a number of Khandaan parties and is in the news for her sizzling chemistry with Salman on and off screen, was conspicuous by her absence from this one.
Says a source, “Katrina is very close to Arpita and Alvira who consider her to be like family and invite her to all celebrations and special occasions of the Khan family. But this time Katrina was absent from little Ahil’s second-year birthday celebrations in Abu Dhabi last week. While she was not shooting for Aanand L Rai’s Zero, it’s possible that she was busy with her brand shoots. Also, her younger sister Isabelle Kaif, who is also debuting in films this year, is in Mumbai and Katrina has been busy keeping her company. Iulia, on the other hand, flew in a day before Ahil’s birthday from the spa, The Farm at San Benito in the Philippines, to join Salman and his family and friends to celebrate Ahil’s birthday. She was a special invitee of Salman who was seen showing her the huge birthday cake designed by WOW Sweets in Abu Dhabi. Iulia stood close to Salman throughout the party recording and taking pictures of the event – very much at home with the Khandaan. She even accompanied them all the next day to Zaya Nurai, a private island on the Arabian Gulf, and a few minutes away by boat and posted a pic from there on her Instagram.”
The source adds that Katrina’s absence from the birthday celebrations was not a major issue. “Just a few days earlier Katrina and Salman had burned the stage Pune while performing at the Da-Bangg tour concert. Their camaraderie is pretty obvious too. Both were seen sharing a cup of coffee at the press con earlier that day. Katrina is a close friend of Salman and his family but now it’s obvious that Iulia is much more. She is very much a part of the Khan family as she was present at all their festivities last year – barring one. She was present in the Maldives for Ahil’s first birthday celebrations. She later attended the Ganpati visarjan ceremony at Arpita's house. While Katrina was present at Salim and Salma Khan and Aayush and Arpita’s wedding anniversary celebrations (November 18) in Mumbai, Iulia was apparently in Romania getting her visa renewed. On December 8, 2017, she was seen celebrating Salman’s mother Salma’s birthday with close friends and family members. Katrina and Iulia were both present at Salman’s birthday bash in Panvel last December. Prior that, both the girls attended Arpita's Christmas party at her residence in Mumbai - while Salman and Iulia came and left together, Katrina came solo. The big question on most people’s lips now is whether Salman going to pop the question to Iulia this year.”
