Jennifer Lopez is hustling Wall Street men off their credit cards in her latest release, Hustlers. Starring as the popular stripper Ramona, this Lorene Scafaria directorial is earning major praises for JLo. So much so that the 50-year-old actress has been garnering Oscar buzz for the movie, which also stars Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B, in pivotal roles. Today, i.e. September 27, 2019, Hustlers has finally released in India and the hype is all for Jenny from the Block.
Talking about how the profession of stripping is one of the main themes of Hustlers, Lopez shared, "I think everyone deserves respect, consideration, and the ability not to be judged based on choices they’ve made, even bad choices." Furthermore, talking about how strippers are depicted from a different perspective in Hustlers, JLo confessed, "The truth is we’re all hustling, negotiating, striving to get through the day to win the battles we must fight. Women are constantly sexualized, but when they find a way to profit from that, all of a sudden it’s a problem."
"In movies, strippers are painted as throwaways or just background characters. Hustlers digs into the stories of these women’s lives and shows the good, the bad, and the ugly. I think people are going to appreciate the realness of this movie and its characters," Jennifer stated.
