A month and a half ago, Pinkvilla exclusively broke the news that Aayush Sharma has signed his second film after LoveYatri. Titled Kwatha, the actor's next will have him essay the role of an army officer. For the longest time, there had been speculations about who will be the leading lady in the musical drama. But now, the team's hunt is finally over.

Although there were recent rumours that Jacqueline Fernandez will be playing the female lead's part, we can now confirm that it's actually Katrina Kaif's sister Isabelle Kaif who will be seen in the film. Says a source, "The team was looking for a pretty girl who can act well. That's when they thought of Isabelle. She was looking for her second film after Time To Dance and when she was narrated this script, she fell in love with the subject. Although there is a slight romantic angle between the two actors, this is more than just a love story. But Isabelle's character has a strong part in motivating Aayush's character forward in Kwatha."

Bye Bye LA

It was also Aayush who felt Isabelle is perfectly suited for the part. "They plan to roll the film around September. They will be shooting in Arunachal Pradesh and the recee is currently on." Kwatha is an inspirational film revolving around a city in Manipur of the same name. It's an action drama pumped with a lot of emotions. Kwatha is inspired from true events and will show how a few incidents change his character's opinion and perspective on certain things. Karan Lalit Butani, who directed the 2018-film Phamous will be helming it.
